School/Study Life Hacks

Many of us go to school, and many of us find it annoying.  I guarantee that these life hacks will make your school year much easier.

  • You have a better chance of remembering your notes if you write them down again, rather then reading them several times.
  • Tired of taking notes? Record your your teachers lectures instead so when you study, you can rewrite the lecture in your own words. The best part? You can pause the recording while writing.
  • Tired of having to take all your books out of your locker, bag etc. just to find the right book? Instead take a marker and mark your books on the side with different colors to tell them apart.
  • You study more efficiently in 25-30 minute blocks with 5 minute brakes.
  • If your taking a test, do the multiple choice questions last. So then if you don't have time to finish them, you can just mark them as A,A,A,A etc. because you have a 20-25% chance of getting it correct. Its better then missing a question that is worth 10 points.
  • The more you read, the better your spelling and grammar will be.
  • Instead of reading out of the textbook, why not find a version on Youtube?  Watching videos is a way of learning too!
  • Can't understand a math method etc. Try teaching the method to a younger sibling or a teddy bear.  If it doesn't make sense or doesn't work out, there is a better chance of you finding out what is wrong.
  • Finding your favorite subject in the day will help you look forward to the school day.
  • Take a picture of your schedule and use it a your lock screen.
  • Replace the ink in your red pens with blue or black ink. Most people won't STEAL red pens.
  • When studying don't forget to reward yourself.  If you complete 10 questions you can reward yourself with a snack, a break etc.
  • Always make goals when trying to study or do a project. Your more likely to stick to those goals, and get more done.
  • If you are bored in class, count how many times the teacher says um, the, yes, listen etc.  You might still pick up information.
